April 2026 · 3 min read
Turn your Boca Dough Cinnamon Sugar Delight Sourdough (or Classic) into the most indulgent breakfast you've ever had. Rich custard, a buttery cook, and a quick maple glaze - that's it.
🥚 Custard
- 2 large organic free-range eggs
- 1 extra organic free-range egg yolk
- ¾ cup grass-fed heavy cream
- 2 tbsp grass-fed whole milk
- 2 tbsp organic brown sugar
- 1 tbsp organic maple syrup
- 1½ tsp vanilla bean paste
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- Pinch of nutmeg
- ¼ tsp sea salt
Whisk everything together until smooth and uniform.
🍁 Maple Glaze
- ¼ cup organic maple syrup
- ½ tbsp grass-fed butter
- Small splash of organic grass-fed cream
- Pinch of salt
Combine in a small saucepan and simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened. Set aside.
🍳 Soak & Cook
- Cut your Boca Dough sourdough into ½″ slices.
- Soak each slice in the custard for 5–10 seconds per side - just enough to coat without making it soggy.
- Melt 2 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-low heat.
- Cook 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and caramelized.
✨ Serve
Drizzle with the maple glaze (or serve it on the side for dipping). Finish with a dusting of organic powdered sugar. Enjoy immediately.
💡 Pro Tip
Day-old sourdough actually works better for French toast - it absorbs the custard more evenly without falling apart. So if your loaf is a day or two past peak freshness, this is the perfect way to use it.
